Apple debuted its newest MacBook Pro models with the M3 family of CPUs, the company’s newest processor lineup, on Tuesday. With their Liquid Retina XDR screens, the laptops are supposed to have a battery life of up to 22 hours. Apple is also highlighting the improved performance of the recently released M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips. which are made utilizing TSMC’s 3nm manufacturing technology, provide hardware-accelerated tracing, and come equipped with Dynamic Caching, a novel memory feature that enhances GPU performance when running intensive apps and games.
MacBook Pro (2023) cost and availability in India
The base edition of Apple’s new M3 MacBook Pro, which has a Apple macbook pro 13 inch display and an M3 chip, costs Rs. 1,69,900. The price of the 14-inch variation with an M3 Pro chip starts at Rs. 1,99,900. Conversely, the entry-level MacBook Pro model featuring a 16-inch display is priced at Rs. 2,49,900. Space Black and Silver are the available color options for all three versions.
Preorders for the new MacBook Pro models with M3 chips are being accepted in 27 countries, including India. On November 7, the Apple Store and Apple Authorized Resellers will start selling them.
Features and characteristics of the MacBook Pro (2023)
The M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chipset, which are new to Apple, power all of the company’s MacBook Pro models. Up to 128GB of RAM can be installed on the company’s top-tier M3 Max chip, which is the maximum RAM capacity available for laptops to date. In the meantime, models with M3 and M3 Pro chips have RAM options of up to 24GB and 36GB, respectively.
These are the second batch of MacBook Pro models that Apple has released this year; in January, the company introduced new models with M2 processors. The new chips have up to 16 cores CPU, up to 40 core GPU. They are built on TSMC’s 3nm technology. There are laptops with SSD storage capacities of up to 1TB available. According to Apple, the new M3 Pro chip outperforms the previous generation of MacBook Pro models with Intel Core i7 CPUs by up to 40 times and by up to 11 times, respectively.
With a refresh rate of 120 Hz and peak brightness of 1600 nits (HDR content) and 600 nits (SDR content), Apple has fitted the new MacBook Pro models with 14-inch and 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR (3,024×1,964 pixels) displays. For biometric authentication, it features a backlit keyboard that supports Touch ID.
The latest models of the MacBook Pro are equipped with various connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 ports up to three, a MagSafe 3 charging port,an HDMI port,SDXC card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is stated that the M3-equipped 14-inch MacBook Pro can run on a single charge for up to 22 hours, while the M3 Pro and M3 Max models can run on a single charge for up to 18 hours.
